Garmin, the global leader in satellite navigation has just announced the answer to every truck driver’s nightmares by launching the new nüvi® 465TF, the first portable navigation device designed exclusively to help keep long-haul and delivery truckers from being stuck down narrow village lanes and under low bridges.

The new nüvi 465TF sat nav supports multiple truck profiles and features advanced routing and guidance to support truck-related road restrictions such as height, width, length, weight and hazardous materials on the UK road network.  All a driver needs to do is simply enter the truck’s dimensions and load restrictions and the nüvi 465TF will adjust the route based on the customized truck profile and map data available to best meet the specified requirements of the journey.

Optimised to work with Garmin’s fleet management interface cable, it can also be turned into a versatile and powerful fleet monitoring system by connecting it to one of Garmin’s approved fleet management partners.

The new innovation from Garmin is exclusively launched with Sycada Mobile Solutions during the Transport & Logistics event in Munich, Germany.
