Sycada has various GPS tracking units for motorized equipment/trucks (Pro), trailers (Xtreme, Guardian), containers (Guardian), secured cargo areas (Watchlock) and individual pallets (Spider). The tracking devices can be programmed to report their positions at set intervals or at specific times allowing you a constant overview of your assets on the move. You can implement various GPS trackers and still use the same central application to manage your entire installed base. The central web application allows for easy reconfiguration of units and for defining geo-zones for each asset for proactive monitoring.

Sycada’s system allows you to define geographical areas for proactive monitoring and alerting. For example:

• Alert me if an asset leaves (or does not leave) a designated area between Time A and Time B.
• Report when an asset has entered a specific location.
• Generate an alarm if an asset is moved (movement sensor) from its current location.
• Generate an alarm if access (door open or lock forced) is detected on a specific location or within a certain time period.

It is possible to automatically monitor a vehicles progress by means of defined waypoints and road links between them and monitor for exceptions to expected/planned progress, including geographical deviations from the defined routing, vehicles not meeting expected journey times, and deviations in expected arrival and/or departure times.

Many of Sycada’s tracking units can be equipped with a door open/close contact. Of course, you can also use the GPS equipped padlock that physically secures access to your cargo. This allows you to actively monitor the access to trailer and containers and generate alarms if access on a certain location or within a certain time period is not authorized.

You can use the door contacts as a ‘digital seal’ in order to prove that no-one has entered your trailer/container while in transit. This also reduces the risk of being victim to cross-border smuggling drugs and/of people.

Sycada can help you control the temperature of transported goods from Basis to Destination. All temperature readings are forwarded to the central server, logged, and reported on. We can automatically generate alerts if the temperature exceeds the desired range that you have defined in the system for a given shipment.

Sycada works with both wired and wireless temperature sensors, so depending on your operational needs and the number of sensors per trailer needed, you can opt for either. Our wireless sensor tags will operate for up to 5 years on internal batteries

Sycada has developed a stand-alone trailer alarm system that, when armed by the driver, will be triggered when a door is opened. In case of an alarm, the system will produce a combination of light and sound that scares off possible intruders and that draws immediate attraction to your trailer. The system is easy to fix and extremely cost effective.

You can connect the system to a GPS tracking system for the reporting of the alarm and the position to an alarm center or the police.

AGS is active in cargo surveillance, international investigation and repatriation, as well as training and education in security concepts.
