Online functionality

Page functions:

Real-time position data

Track the precise location of your cars, trucks, trailers, containers, equipment or personnel minute by minute. You receive precise position data and status information on your remote assets continuously via m!Trace. You can define groups of assets for convenient overviews per user. In addition, intelligent search functionality makes it easy to control many assets operationally. Users have quick and immediate access to day reports and can easily set up permanent or temporary alerting in case of removal of assets. A large map for dual screen usage of the system is available.

Route logging

The system gives you access to historical position data. It will log all starts and stops, mileage, average and maximum speed levels, along with data from connected internal and/or external sensors.

The data is available in Excel (pivot tables) or pdf formats. You can also import data to your own systems using various file formats. The historic data can also be ‘played back’ on the maps, so that exact routes can be analyzed.

Zone-monitoring & geofencing

You can enter or import own and/or client locations to the m!Trace system. The system can automatically create a geo-fence around the location, but you can also manually draw the desired shape of the area on the map that you want the system to control for you.

This allows you to track all movements to, from and within the defined zones. In addition, you can generate rules that allow for alerts (screen, e-mail or SMS) to be automatically triggered if an asset arrives or departs from certain locations at a given date, day or time interval.

The locations can also be set up dynamically if you chose to have your planning system connected to m!Trace. In that case, we will be able to report on arrival and departure times for specific work orders.
As an option, an immobilizer can be activated automatically when an asset leaves a guarded area.

Exception alerts

You can enter business rules for groups or individual assets that will trigger signals or alerts in real-time. You can also generate exception reports based on the defined triggers.
Rules can be based on:
  • Speed
  • Location
  • Date & time (e.g. week-end)
  • Operating hours/out of hours
  • Sensor inputs (e.g. door open/close)
  • Temperature (or other analogue values)
  • Or any combinations of the above.

Service alerts

To facilitate installed base management, Sycada has implemented features that allow us to generate active notifications to your service department based on mileage and/or running hours of your equipment.

Operating hours can be monitored for various active components on an asset so that maintenance intervals can be monitored for various parts of the asset.

If a CANbus is coupled, we can also collect and forward service alerts with specific OEM fault codes, depending on the make and model of your asset.

Time registration

By means of personalized dallas keys or smartcards (your choice), it is possible for drivers and other personnel to clock in and out on the tracking system. As a result, a precise report on working hours can be generated and salary administration and control greatly simplified.

Management reporting

All movements of mobile assets are accounted for and can be reported on. Sycada has defined a number of standard, common operational reports that would cover most needs. However, should you have very specific reporting requirements, our report generation wizard will allow you to customize the reports.

Specific reports are available for running hours, temperature, access control and alerts/exceptions based on your own business rules. Instead of generating the same reports on a regular basis, Sycada has developed a subscription tool that allows for automatic generation and distribution of reports to the users authorized by you.

Immobilization

In case of theft or other unauthorized use of your asset, it is possible to immobilize the asset from the central system. This requires an immobilizer to be installed on your asset along with the designated GPS tracking unit.

Driver security

There are two different ways to enhance driver security:
  • A panic button can be placed in the vehicle cabin. When pressed, an alarm will immediately be generated and forwarded to centralists and to any other persons you want notified.
  • A GPS personal tracker with alarm button and man-down feature (active reporting in at set intervals and generation of an alarm if this does not happen). The tracker is small enough to be carried as a small mobile phone.

In either case, you can decide to distribute alarms to alarm centers and/or the police.

Sensor inputs

Depending on the GPS terminal that you have chosen, various external sensors can be connected, including:
  • Driver ID reader
  • Trip selector switch (private/business)
  • Panic button
  • Door sensor for access control (wired or wireless)
  • Temperature sensor (wired or wireless)
  • Rotation sensor (loading/unloading events for truck mixers)
  • RFID tag reader (e.g. trailer identification)
In addition, internal PTO signals and CANbus systems can be coupled to selected GPS terminals.
Some GPS terminals also feature Ethernet, WiFi, or Bluetooth options as well as USB.
Contact us for advice on the above options and for a discussion of your specific needs.
