Tracked assets

Page functions:
Sycada has specialized GPS tracking units for various type of assets, including:

Persons

The ‘Mini’ is a personal tracking device with four programmable function keys. It facilitates automatic or manual generation of position reports and allows for alarm generation (active or man-down), time registration and quality control.

Cars

Various GPS terminals (Lite, Pro I, Pro II)  are available from simple track & trace to terminals with CANbus or ODB-II interfacing to the vehicle.

Trucks

Various GPS terminals (Pro I, Pro II) are available. Each terminal is equipped to support various digital inputs (e.g. PTO signal) and analogue sensors (e.g. for monitoring temperature or relative humidity of transported goods).  CANbus connections can be supported as well.

Together with our hardware partners, it is possible to produce engineer-to-purpose terminals even for relatively small volumes.

Trailers

Special, rugged GPS trackers (Pro III Xtreme, Trailer, Guardian) for placement on trailers are available. These units support various extensions, such as access control and alarms as well as temperature and humidity sensors for monitoring the state of the cargo. Solar panels optionally allow for 100% autonomous tracking of the Trailer GPS device.

Heavy duty equipment

A rugged GPS tracker (Pro III Xtreme) for extreme environments, including earth moving equipment, shovels, cranes, and similar equipment used in construction and road work environments, is available. The unit is IP67 and vibration/shock proof.

Concrete mixers

GPS units (Pro I, Pro II, Pro III Xtreme) with unloading sensors are available for both truck mixers, mixer pumps as well as for towed units.

Containers

A battery-powered GPS tracker (Guardian) with more than 4 years operational autonomy (based on 1 position report per day) is available for container localization. The unit is equipped with movement sensor and reed contact (door open/close registration) and can be programmed for real-time tracking by exceptions or calamities. The GPS tracker is extremely rugged and works worldwide where a GSM/GPRS network is available.

Non-powered equipment

For assets without power source, such as materials handling equipment, working material, rental equipment, generators and pumps, a battery powered tracking unit (Guardian) is available. This unit can be programmed to report on regular intervals and is capable of detecting movement or usage of assets and report on this.
