The Royal Automotive Club has launched an innovative Pay-by-Mile insurance product for its members with the tagline “Pay when you drive, save when you don’t”. RAC uses DriveTag and a white-labeled version of the app. The insurance product is sold online and serviced by insurtech leader Wrisk. The product is aimed at a large, and growing, potential market of low-mileage drivers (less than 5,000 miles per year) who on average are expected to save 20% on their monthly insurance premium.

The largest online retailer of light commercial vehicles (LCV’s) in the UK is using DriveTag to extend its customer journey across vehicle finance and insurance. Together with underwriter Liverpool Victoria (LV), a DriveTag insurance telematics scheme was created to allow customers to insure a vehicle at extremely competitive rates and with interesting additional discounts applicable to mindful and competent drivers depending on their scores.

VodafoneZiggo (Netherlands)

DriveTag was introduced in company cars to prove that new (mobile) technology could make a contribution to the company’s sustainability goals. Together with EY auditors, validated the impact of DriveTag on driver scores and fuel usage. The results were highly promising: Within just 4 months DriveTag led to 35% improvement in average drive style scores, and 25% reduction in fuel usage and CO2 emissions.

A market leader in mobility budget services for enterprises uses DriveTag to register usage and mileage of company cars. DriveTag replaces much more expensive telematics equipment whilst securing accurate trip reporting and budgeting. The DriveTag by Miles app can be upgraded by Shuttel’s enterprise customers to support safe and green driver programmes.

A new DriveTag pitch to the SME business market in the Netherlands foresees an end-to-end managed solution by Sycada, including customer onboarding, logistical fulfilment, performance monitoring, driver risk profiling and even eLearning to individual drivers of our joint enterprise customers. Achmea operates as sales partner, Sycada manages the entire logistics and customer support operation.

The future of sustainable and accessible mobility starts here. We believe that mobility should be accessible and safe to use for everyone. DriveTag has proven to be the perfect tool that improves both safety, through stimulating people to drive mindfully, and sustainability, by reducing fuel costs and thus carbon emission up to 25 percent. As of March 2022, Sycada and Motability started a collaboration in which Motability customers are implementing the DriveTag tool within their leased vehicle.
